Our Board Of Directors’ Grand Gesture

On Opening Night at the Litchfield Jazz Festival, our Board of Directors had a stunning surprise for our founder. Director Mark Ferguson presented Vita Muir (who has served as Executive and Artistic Director of Litchfield Performing Arts for 44 years) with the exciting news the Board had established a fund in her name to support Litchfield Jazz Camp scholarships into the future. They launched it with an impressive $100,000 and a goal to double it in a year! Vita also received a Citation from the Connecticut Secretary of State, honoring her dedication to the community, and one from Governor Ned Lamont proclaiming July 25th, 2025, as Vita West Muir Day in the State of Connecticut!!To learn more about the
