James Cannizzaro is the Marketing Director at Litchfield Performing Arts. He began with the organization as a summer intern in 2022, continued as a freelance contributor in 2023, and was hired full-time in 2024. In his role, James oversees marketing, communications, and outreach for all LPA programs, including the Litchfield Jazz Festival and Litchfield Jazz Camp. He manages press, social media, web, email, and advertising campaigns, and has recently led new initiatives to expand video content, creating masterclass videos, concert recordings, and promotional media that serve both the current camp community and wider audiences.
James’ efforts have also focused on updating LPA’s online presence and strengthening connections with schools and teachers across the region, supporting Jazz Camp’s mission to reach the next generation of young musicians.
A graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a degree in Digital Marketing, James brings both creative and strategic skills to his work. For him, the most meaningful part of his role is helping young people find opportunities and inspiration through LPA programs.
