FUNDRAISER – Jingle & Mingle – December 9

Join us on December 9 for dinner, drinks, live jazz and FUN!  Proceeds from this benefit event will support music education at Litchfield Jazz Camp.

“Jingle and Mingle” is a holiday dinner party with live music featuring Litchfield native and international jazz performer, vocalist/ pianist Nicole Zuraitis. Nicole is the 2016 New York City Songwriting Competition Coffee Music Project Winner, 2015 second runner-up in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and the 2014 Herb Albert ASCAP Young Composer Awards Winner. When she isn’t touring she can be heard every second Thursday at the iconic NYC venue, the 55 Bar. Renowned jazz star Jane Monheit said of her: “Nicole is one of my favorite vocalists…a masterful musician.”

Nicole, now 32 and a brand new bride, is a proud member of the Litchfield Jazz Camp Faculty and a former student there.  She is joined here by outstanding bassist and fellow faculty member Zwe Bell le Pere and several top Litchfield Jazz Campers: on drums Anton Kot, and last but not least, 11-year old piano prodigy Brandon Goldberg.

Brandon, who began playing at age 3 and at 10 was one of the youngest campers ever accepted, joins the J & M band from Ft. Lauderdale Florida for the occasion.  Featured on last year’s Litchfield Jazz Festival mainstage, Brandon has already appeared at Jazz at Lincoln Center with pianist Monty Alexander and on TV with Harry Connick Jr. and Steve Harvey.

Hors d’oeuvres and dinner are presented by Ciesco Catering, the official caterer for Litchfield Jazz Festival Artists and events.  A signature cocktail is a gift of Litchfield Distillery, and a cash bar will contribute to the benefit proceeds thanks to their support.

Dress as you like, but founder Vita Muir suggests “fabulous, and bring your dancing shoes.”  Music will continue throughout, from 6:30 to 9:30.

All proceeds will benefit Litchfield Jazz Camp thanks to support from the Connecticut Community Foundation, Litchfield Distillery and Litchfield Community Center.

Thank you to the Connecticut Community Foundation, Litchfield Distillery, and Litchfield Community Center for their support of this event!
