Spring Spirits is a Cocktail Party/Auction at Litchfield Distillery on Saturday, April 28. The evening will feature award-wining spirits (courtesy of Litchfield Distillery), delicious hors d’oeuvres, live jazz music, a silent auction, and a brief live auction hosted by NPR’s John Dankosky. Dave Brubeck was an outstanding jazz pianist and a wonderful person. He performed into his 91st year and died in 2012. His record, Time Out, was one of the top-selling albums of all time. It featured his signature tune, Take Five, composed by Quartet member and musical collaborator, Paul Desmond. Dave ended nearly every concert with this iconic tune. Dave was a friend of Litchfield Performing Arts, appeared on the Litchfield Jazz Festival many times and was a great fan of Litchfield Jazz Camp. |
