Summer Internships with Litchfield Jazz

We are looking for 3 self-motivated college students or recent grads to join our summer team! Summer Internships with Litchfield Jazz Camp & Festival provide real-life, hands-on experience in educational arts programming, not-for profit management and large-scale event marketing/management.

We have opportunities both at Litchfield Jazz Camp, and at our Main Office in Goshen, CT.

Internship Opportunity #1

Marketing & PR Communications Coordinator

Location: Main Office, Goshen, CT

Start Date: May 2020, date TBD

Position Summary

The Marketing & PR Communications Coordinator Intern will be responsible for assisting with the marketing and promotion of the summer events like the Jazz After Work Concert Series, College Night at Litchfield Jazz Camp, and the 25th Anniversary Litchfield Jazz Festival. Intern will also be responsible for working with and cultivating sponsor and community engagement.

 

Internship Opportunity #2

Events Coordinator

Location: Main Office, Goshen, CT

Start Date: May 2020, date TBD

Position Summary

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of an annual College Fair at Litchfield Jazz Camp, and for assisting in the coordination of the Litchfield Jazz Festival and it’s two associated fundraiser events. Interns will also be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteers leading up to and during the Litchfield Jazz Festival.  All interns will also work on administrative  tasks as assigned.

 

Internship Opportunity #3

Camp Office Assistant

Location: Litchfield Jazz Camp, Washington, CT*

Start Date: Last week of June 2020

Position Summary

This internship will provide real-life experience in administration and organization of one of the nation’s leading summer music camps. Work will include assisting with student registration, assorted office tasks, generating and formatting reports, working with Excel documents, viewing and manipulating the online student database, and assisting in the organization and set-up of all of the music equipment. Our office relies heavily and places an emphasis on the use of technology to administrate the camp as efficiently as possible. You will have hands-on experience learning advanced Excel/Word features as well as a chance to learn Filemaker Pro. Our office always maintains a very informal atmosphere.

*Room, Board, and meals at Litchfield Jazz Camp are provided for the Camp Office Assistant
